Job summary You will join the Haematology department working primarily within Cancer care on Winchester site. The role will involve providing direct patient care mostly in outpatient setting, helping with outpatient clinics and performing procedures, primarily bone marrow biopsies. You will also be involved in inpatient ward rounds. In addition, the post holder will work closely with other members of the Cancer care team and Pathology team. The Physician Associate will work under the direction of the Haematology Consultants. We are seeking an enthusiastic Physician Associate to play a key role in the delivery of the integrated services and to become a key member of the team. Main duties of the job As an integrated Physician Associate you will be responsible for ensuring that patient care for service users with complex co-morbidities is of high standards at all times and that treatment meets the department's requirements. The post holder will work with the Specialties to take forward best practice and education within the Division. It is expected that the post holder will be a role model and ambassador for Physician Associates and represent the department at local and external meetings as appropriate.
