We’re looking for a Decision Support Analyst to join our Insurance and Money Services team.
In this role your primary focus will be to help support the Centres of Expertise (CoE’s) cost base within the Insurance and Money Services business.
This role will sit within the Cost Decision Support team which forms part of the Commercial Finance team within the Finance function.You’ll have close connections to your financial control colleagues, as well as the broader Commercial Finance teams looking after Money Services and Insurance products, but your day-to-day will be focusing on looking after the cost base within the CoE’s.
What you’ll be doing
1. Month End Reporting
2. Input into build and development of budgets/forecasts
3. Providing insight, analysis & financial modelling to support decision making
4. Converting Insight and MI into clear financial outputs and presentations
5. Making process improvements
6. Supporting your manager in other ad-hoc activities that may arise
7. Proactively manage workload to support cost reporting processes.
8. Collaborate with multiple business areas across finance and wider business.
9. Support Decision Support Managers to deliver cost targets & reporting.
We need you to have
10. Understanding of Management Accounting and Finance Department processes (either a finance degree, work experience in a finance function, OR CIMA/ACCA/ICAS part-qualified)
11. Strong Excel skills, and proficient with PowerPoint
12. Inquisitive mindset, able to find and develop insight from the numbers that can be used to influence decisions
13. Strong commercial awareness
14. Ability to use own initiative
15. Communicate effectively to help build relationships
16. Able to work independently, and as part of a wider team and be comfortable working with multiple stakeholders
17. Adaptable in your ways of working, and showing flexibility in order to meet concurrent deadlines
And if you have any of these, even better
18. Experience in Financial Services or Retail
19. Experience in a Decision Support or Business Partnering function
20. Expert Excel & PowerPoint skills
21. Demonstratable experience of being able to quickly form networks and hit the ground running
22. CIMA/ACCA/ICAS qualified
