Ourclient has an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineer tojoin the Group Technology and Operations (GTO) function in theirEdinburgh or Macclesfieldoffice.
Thisis a multifaceted technical role which involves maintaining andimproving a diverse range of industry leading security technologiesdeployed to protect theorganisation.
Abouttherole
* Maintainand develop Cyber Security tooling to ensure a robust and resilientsecurity configuration recommending and implementing improvementswherenecessary
* Managemaintenance and DR testing of security technologies to ensureongoing operation andsupport
* Supportother Security Operations teams in responding to Cyberincidents
* OperateAccess Management solutions to protect access to systems anddata
* Supportsecurity and business change portfolios with focus on serviceintegration into BAUoperations
* Applicationsecurity testing taking ownership of analysing security outputs andreports to drive investigations andimprovements
Requirements
* Experienceworking in a technical Cyber or IT Infrastructureteam
* Knowledgeof Cloudservices
* Handon experience with Windows and Linux operatingsystems
* Experiencein vulnerability management and application securitytechnologies
* Experiencewith privileged access management platform
* Experiencewith Cyber security technologies e.g. EDR DLP IPSWAF
* Securitycertifications would bedesirable.
Proven experience in vulnerability management and applicationsecurity technologies. Experience leading a vulnerabilitymanagement team preferable. Proficient in using vulnerabilitymanagement tools such as Tenable, Kenna, Qualys, Rapid7 and Tanium.Good understanding and practical experience of Cyber SecurityFrameworks and standards, e.g. NIST. Strong understanding ofinformation security concepts, technologies, and best practices.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with effectivecommunication and presentation abilities. Working knowledge ofOWASP, MITRE, CVSS and other standards/frameworks relevant tovulnerability management. Experience in managing risks and issuesand implementing mitigation strategies. Ability to manipulate data,extract insight and provide reporting to key stakeholders foractionable tasks. Previous experience of working within a regulatedenvironment in the financial services industry desirable MS Exceland MS Power BI proficiency, preferable. Relevant certifications(e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Sec+) are a plus.
