Criterion Hospitality is seeking a Cleaning Operative to join our existing team to help to maintain its current business needs to a high standard.
We are seeking flexible, motivated individuals who can multitask and make a measurable contribution to the continued success of Kingsland Shopping Centre. Full training and uniform will be provided.
The Cleaning Operative is responsible for cleaning, contributing, maintaining and controlling the cleaning standards within the Shopping Centre, Car Park and Service Yard, Loading bay areas. Delivering a high level of customer service to all management, staff, customers, visitors and members of the public with care. Ensure cleaning duties are carried out in accordance with the shopping centre’s regulations and local instructions. You must have a positive, can-do attitude. Lead by example and follow the rules. The skill to communicate and motivate persons at all level within the team is important to the effective service of this operational team.
A good understanding of safety procedures. You will use only approved equipment, chemicals and wear the appropriate personal protective equipment in accordance with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH).
Role Specification:
* Maintain a standard of Customer Service and remain approachable throughout, whilst carrying out duties on shift
* Highly motivated with an eye for detail and able to use initiative
* Solutions-oriented, providing explanations and proposed resolutions to problems rather than purely identifying problems
* Work effectively as part of a team
* Clean and present the shopping centre, car park and service yard, loading bay for a safe operational service in accordance with the centre’s standards always using cleaning materials and equipment provided
* Clean the main entrance floor, walls and removal of gum
* Clean management, security offices, kitchen area and toilet
* Clean loading bay and ramps
* Sweep and litter pick all areas including car park and service yard
* Weeding from all visible areas on site
* Clean stairways accessible to the shopping centre and car park
* Vacuum the shopping centre carpets
* Clean shopping centre corridors, walls and doors
* Clean all windows inside and ou
* Sweep smoking areas and dispose of cigarette butts
* Removal of small internal/external graffiti letters/drawings as and when required
* Undertake cleaning of biological hazards
* Complete paperwork as required, detailing and signing for all work carried out, making note of all spillages and obstructions accurately and clearly
* Dispose of collected wet waste in accordance with local instructions with the compactor/container bins provided
* To hand into the Security Control and log all lost property
* To ensure corridors, entrances and exits are always free of obstructions
* To attend any training sessions as required
* To comply with any reasonable instructions issued by management
