We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Legal and Compliance Manager to join our team. This is a crucial role ensuring that the company remains fully compliant with all relevant legal and industry standards, while maintaining best practices across various operational areas. You will work closely with senior management and internal teams to uphold our commitment to legal and regulatory compliance.
* Salary: Competitive base salary with a rewarding bonus scheme.
* Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all company insurance policies, including building, stock/product, marine, fleet, public liability, and employers liability.
* Serve as the main point of contact for all insurance claims, ensuring each claim is handled methodically, processed from start to finish, and closed out in a timely manner.
* Oversee the maintenance of industry accreditations such as ISO, FSC, BRC, Ecovadis, and FORS, with a focus on the companys journey toward carbon neutrality.
* Manage all internal and external legal and compliance audits.
* Stay up-to-date with new and existing environmental and compliance-related legislation, rules, and company standards, including fire prevention, site inspections, etc.
* Support senior management and HR to ensure that company policies and procedures remain relevant and current.
* Maintain a comprehensive staff training matrix to track compliance and training requirements.
* Ensure the companys Terms and Conditions align with the vision for both sales and purchases.
* Work with the Health and Safety team to ensure that current working guidelines are met, fostering a safe and compliant workplace.
* Maintain and update the companys central QMS/database for Environmental, Compliance, and Health and Safety documents.
* Collaborate with the Finance and senior management team on various topics, including utility contract reviews and other compliance-related matters.
* Assist the Sales and Procurement team in reviewing and responding to contractual terms, including compliance questionnaires for tenders and customer/supplier engagements.
Ideal Candidate:
* Proven experience in legal, compliance, and insurance management within a corporate environment.
* Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and accreditations.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Proactive in staying updated with changes to relevant laws and regulations.
* Experience in managing audits and compliance documentation.
* Ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure compliance and operational success.
