Deputy Practice Manager Annual Salary: £42,000 Location: Bradford Job Type: Full-time – happy to consider 30 hours per week Temp initially 1-2 months – could be extended Our client is seeking a Deputy Practice Manager to join their practice. This role requires a self-motivated and disciplined individual to support the Practice Manager and ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the service. Day-to-day of the role: Support the Practice Manager in all aspects of practice functionality including staff motivation and management, patient services, premises, and health and safety management. Manage and coordinate practice operations, promoting quality, continuous improvement, and collaborative working. Line manage reception, secretarial, and administration staff, including conducting appraisals, recording sickness, and managing annual leave. Implement systems for resolving disciplinary and grievance issues, and maintain an overview of staff welfare. Manage IT resources, safeguard patient records, and ensure the clinical system and appointment availability are efficiently managed. Be the first point of contact for the complaints process, resolving problems and complaints with staff and patients. Support the Practice Manager in reviewing and updating practice policies and procedures. Required Skills & Qualifications: Previous experience in primary care management. Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using clinical systems like SystmOne. Demonstrable customer service skills. Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload.
