The role: Join the Engineering team at PCI Tredegar and take a hands-on role in ensuring top-tier quality and operational excellence. As a Multi-skilled Engineer, you will bring your technical expertise to the forefront, helping resolve quality issues, supporting planned preventative maintenance programs, and ensuring all activities meet GMP standards in line with company policies and business requirements. You will play a key role in minimizing downtime, handling equipment breakdowns efficiently, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement on site. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a forward-thinking team with a clear focus on quality and performance. This role involves a shift pattern with two shifts (morning and afternoon), an early finish on Fridays, and one night shift every four nights. Main responsibilities: - Maintain and service all equipment involved in product production at PCI Tredegar. - Support the set-up and changeover of production equipment and assist in training teams on these processes. - Contribute fully to planned preventative maintenance programs to keep operations running smoothly. - Monitor critical utilities and process equipment in a cGMP environment, ensuring efficient repairs and adjustments. - Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns quickly and systematically to minimize downtime and product loss. - Ensure compliance with company policies and global regulatory requirements, including Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. - Support cross-departmental communication and foster continuous improvements in quality and reliability. - Assist in the design, procurement, and management of production tooling, providing technical support and expertise. - Provide training and support to apprentices and team members, contributing to skills development across departments. - Manage electrical energy consumption and help support environmental initiatives. - Maintain flexibility to support the business during weekends or after hours when required. Requirements: - Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering. - Experience in electrical engineering with a practical, hands-on approach. - Background in the pharmaceutical industry (but not essential). - Proven ability to thrive in an operational setting and resolve complex technical issues. - Strong understanding of preventive maintenance systems (PPM). - Excellent problem-solving and project management skills. - A team player with strong communication abilities (both verbal and written).
