We are seeking a Training and Competency Team Leader for an exciting opportunity based in Fareham, Hampshire.
The ideal candidate will oversee the daily operations of the Training and Competency team, ensuring optimal performance from all team members and driving department efficiency.
The role will collaborate closely with Directors and senior team leaders to ensure smooth operations, offering support and guidance as needed.
Success in this role will require a proactive and flexible approach.

What you’ll do:
* Routinely conduct thorough audits for two brands, ensuring all procedures and processes adhere to internal standards and external regulations
* Assist the Training Executive with conducting graduation calls and facilitating role plays as needed
* Run audits on the Auditor to determine the team’s competency and compliance
* Report audit findings to the Training and Competency Manager, detailing insights, risks and suggestions for improvement
* Take ownership of the daily management of the Training and Competency team, ensuring all members are aligned with departmental goals and perform their duties effectively
* Allocate tasks, monitor team progress and prepare all monthly audit matrices ready for the new month ahead
* Establish clear communication and support within the team, fostering positivity and productivity within the work environment
* Act as the first point of contact for team members and other departments, offering support, guidance and solutions to any queries
* Lead by example, setting a high standard for teamwork and problem-solving within the team
* Maintain open communication with senior management, offering regular updates on audits, team performance and emerging issues.
* Be flexible in responding to ad-hoc tasks or requests from senior management, prioritising effectively any urgent business needs that need to be met
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience in a team leader role, training, auditing or similar roles
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
* Experience managing teams in a compliance or regulatory environment is preferred
* Basic knowledge in Microsoft applications including Excel
