We are excited to announce there is an opportunity for an Experienced Registered Children's Nurses to join our OUTSTANDING Children's Emergency Department in the heart of East London.
You will be joining a team that is one of the highest performing Emergency departments in the UK, that achieves consistently good clinical engagement, patient flow and has an OUTSTANDING rating at CQC.
We are looking for Registered Children's Nurses; who have completed their preceptorship program. Experience in A&E is desirable but not essential. Our nurses should be enthusiastic, confident and self-motivated nurses who possess excellent communication skills and enjoy a challenge.
Main duties of the job
Main duties include:
1. To document all patient details to the required standard in relation to the admission, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care using the EPR system where appropriate.
2. To deliver a high standard of holistic nursing care.
3. To communicate with children and their carers, involving them in the planning and delivery of care.
4. To co-ordinate patient discharges, including health promotion education.
5. To identify clinical emergencies as required, ensuring that he/she is up to date with CPR training.
6. To use medical equipment safely and competently and to supervise others in its use.
7. To record and interpret vital signs, taking required action when they demonstrate deterioration
