Domiciliary Care Service Manager (Hybrid) needed in Weymouth, £32,000 to £34,000 per annum – Reference: 5263726
Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm role, with flexibility to work from home on occasions.
You will ideally have Domiciliary Care Service experience, not just care home experience.
Responsibilities:
1. As the Registered Manager, be responsible for understanding and complying with statutory and legal requirements relevant to the service, including health and safety legislation, Care Quality Commission Regulations 2009, Health & Social Care Act 2008, and Care Act 2014.
2. Lead by example, acting as an ambassador for promoting the values and ethos of the Aster Group Care Strategy and the Skills for Care Code of Conduct for Care Workers England.
3. Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of service users to ensure their care needs and preferences are met.
4. Lead, direct, support, and work with care colleagues to ensure care provided respects privacy, choice, control, and dignity.
5. Recognize, assess, and address the emotional, spiritual, physical, medical, and material needs of service users through effective care plans.
6. Be aware of the health and well-being of each service user and take proactive steps to address any concerns.
7. Recognize and respond to incidents, accidents, and safeguarding concerns appropriately.
8. Maintain proactive leadership and completion of all care audits, developing and implementing action plans for continuous improvements.
9. Ensure the effective running of the service, meeting all legislation and regulations concerning health and safety.
10. Organize staffing Rota to provide resilience cover and required levels in line with commissioned hours.
11. Provide a safe and secure environment for all service users, implementing required checks and standards.
12. Ensure the service is well led, reflecting the Care Strategy and Skills for Care Code of Conduct.
13. Monitor medication practices within the service, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices.
14. Lead on all safeguarding matters, ensuring policies are communicated and understood by staff.
15. Monitor standards of care provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.
