Job Description:
Professional Services Accountant x 3 - Exeter / Hybrid - £40-45,000
Trial Balance Consulting have been assigned by a longstanding client, a highly regarded and nationally recognised financial services business based in Exeter. The business offers bespoke professional services to a large portfolio of clients, often with complex financial obligations. The company has experienced a significant increase in headcount to match a notable increase in client activity, and has asked us to source no less than three experienced accounting professionals to join their team. These opportunities are offered on a permanent, full time arrangement with a hybrid working pattern that balances home and office based working.
This is an employer with an excellent record for employee development and training, with many of their staff enjoying very long and rewarding careers within a business that can offer almost unlimited national and international career opportunity.
The Professional Services Accountant will enjoy a broad and varied role working with a portfolio of UHNW individuals and investment managers. Key responsibilities include:
1. Supervision and support of a small team of junior staff
2. Monthly/quarterly accounting reviews with full commentary
3. Maintenance of financial accounting records and statutory compliance
4. Net asset reporting
5. Production of board packs for presentation at board meetings
6. Preparation of financial statements in line with IFRS and UK GAAP
For this role, we seek applicants with a strong understanding of financial and statutory accounting, and with the aptitude to confidently liaise with high-profile clients. Candidates will likely be nearing or have recently achieved a professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), gained either in practice or commerce (this would be an excellent first move for a practice-based individual seeking their first commerce role). Good all-round IT skills, particularly in the use of MS Excel, and great communication skills are essential.
For further details of the employer, a host of financial and non-financial benefits, and the role itself, please apply to Dan Saunders quoting reference DS8242 ASAP.
