Job summary
Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is the largest provider of children's public health nursing services in the North East of England. We are currently recruiting Health Visitors to the County Durham 0-25 Team. The roles are in several bases in South Durham, including Newton Aycliffe, Ferryhill and Bishop Auckland. Full and part time hours are available.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for new colleagues who possess strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to delegate and supervise staff, as well as the ability to recognise and escalate risk and contribute to control measures.
You must possess a full UK driving licence and have access to your own transport in order to meet service needs

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential
13. Specialist Community Public Health Nurse Qualification (HV) or equivalent Evidence of continuing professional development.
14. NMC registration
15. Highly developed specialist knowledge relevant to working with children and families underpinned by theory.
16. Experience of working in multidisciplinary teams.
Desirable
17. Evidence of Continued Professional development
18. Nurse Prescribing
19. Experience in leading teams in the provision of health services to children, young people and families.
