Role Overview: As the Early Careers Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Learning & Development (L&D) team by coordinating and administering our Early Careers programs, which include apprenticeships, traineeships, and graduate opportunities. This position involves collaboration with various stakeholders to build a strong talent pipeline while ensuring a comprehensive onboarding and development experience for our early career professionals. Key Responsibilities: Program Coordination: Assist the L&D Manager in administering development programs aligned with the company’s strategic goals. Talent Pipeline Support: Work closely with the Recruitment Manager to identify and recruit prospective apprentices, trainees, and graduates. Oversee the assessment processes to select candidates that align with business needs. Relationship Management: Build and maintain partnerships with external educational institutions to support recruitment efforts and development needs for apprentices, trainees, and graduates. AmcoGiffen Academy Support: Collaboratively work with Barnsley College and other educational partners to enhance the learning experience. Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the L&D Manager to evaluate and improve development programs, talent management initiatives, and other L&D offerings. Onboarding Support: Assist the HR & Recruitment team during the onboarding process for all early career employees. Networking: Maintain an external network to fulfill the company's Early Careers needs and liaise with the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) for effective levy utilization. Apprenticeship Levy Oversight: Manage the apprenticeship levy spending to ensure optimal use of resources. Support and Mentorship: Act as a primary support source for graduates, trainees, and apprentices throughout their development programs. Communication Efforts: Collaborate with the communications team to promote the benefits of AmcoGiffen’s Early Careers programs externally. Stakeholder Collaboration: Foster strong working relationships with the L&D Manager, HR teams, and business leadership to enhance program effectiveness. Qualifications and Skills: Previous experience as an Administrator or Coordinator in an Early Careers context is preferred. Familiarity with liaising with learning providers and understanding funding mechanisms. Competent in using MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with various levels of personnel. Strong numerical skills and attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative. Track record of building and maintaining professional relationships.
