Senior Theatre Technician
Hours - 15 Hrs per week over 39 Weeks per year
Basis - Permanent, Part Time
Salary/Grade - Band 4, SCP (11-17) £25,979.00 - £28,770.00 (FTE)
Actual Salary - £9,534.94 - £10,510.84
Your responsibilities
Ensure that the technical operation of the theatre and all Performing Arts areas are always safe and comply to the current legislation and industry standards.
Establish operating procedures and protocols for all technical equipment.
Responsible for ensuring that all technical equipment is fit for purpose, correctly stored, maintained and documented and used appropriately when required.
Responsible for the management and set up of the Box office system.
As required, assist with the manufacture, painting, moving and storage of scenery, props and special effects.
What are we looking for?
Minimum three years relevant experience working in a venue/ theatre/ technical department/ touring company or similar
Proven specialist experience in programming, lighting and sound design and operation of sound and audio visual technical systems
Demonstrate excellent hands on technical experience in the safe operation of rigging, building and striking sets, staging and preparing theatre spaces for performance and events
Computer literate, including the ability to read and understand technical plans with knowledge of relevant applications
