Description This position will supervise the existing six retails stores whithin the Europe North Area plus five additional stores already announced. The incumbent's primary goal is to standardise retail operations globally while understanding cultural customs and beliefs. Incumbent provides supervision of store supervisors and associates, resolves issues and maintains personnel to sales ratios; establishes and maintains appropriate inventory levels and product assortments; and establishes customer service standards. The incumbent directs the opening of new stores and store closings as necessary. Success is measured by key operating statistics and customer/employee satisfaction. Responsibilities Provide vision and best practices to store supervisors regarding all aspects of managing a retail store including personnel management, inventory levels and product assortments, selling cost ratios, security standards for IT and sacred clothing, shipping schedules and creating standards for financial and operational issues. Travel to stores throughout assigned area, audit best practices and act as a liaison for Temple Presidencies. Hire, train, review, and manage performance of Store Supervisors and associates on product knowledge, merchandising, annual goals, operational procedures, and provide daily technical support. Analyse data and global store performance metrics to provide recommendations to Store Supervisors for influencing key operating indicators. Coordinate with the Support Services Manager and the Area Planning and Inventory Manager to establish and report on key management indicators, goals, and facility or personnel needs. Assists with annual planning process, budget requests and other standard processes. Work with architects, building designers, and FM project supervisors on the construction and set-up of new stores and coordinate improvements to existing store locations. Meet annually with Temple Presidents, Recorders and Laundry Supervisors to obtain feedback on quality and performance of Distribution products and services. Qualifications BS degree in Business Management, Marketing or Retail Management or related field plus six years’ experience in retailing and merchandising Minimum of four years’ experience in supervisory function Excellent computer skills including Excel Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential Ability to manage and motivate people Ability to train employees of various learning abilities to perform social and complex functions Ability to understand financial and budgeting procedures Ability to change and adapt in a rapidly changing environment Ability to set up computer component systems in a Point of Sale (POS) setting Advanced understanding of marketing and visual display techniques
