Emmaus Greenwich is a charity providing a home, support and work opportunities for up to 45 people who have experienced homelessness and social exclusion.
We are looking for a Support Worker/Recovery Worker who can provide tailored person-centred support for formerly homeless individuals, especially those who are struggling with substance misuse.
Your role as Support Worker/Recovery Worker will be to support formerly homeless individuals, known as Companions, and help these individuals reach their potential. Support workers/Recovery workers provide both practical and emotional support to assist with this process.
This role will provide specific, person-centred support to those Companions who are struggling with substance misuse. The successful applicant will be able to tailor support plans to meet individual need – setting goals, assigning actions, working with other providers and considering the person’s holistic needs.
