As a Design Document Controller, you will focus on managing and organising all design-related documentation throughout a project. The role is crucial in ensuring that design documents are accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible to the project team. You will specialise in stage 2 and 3 of a project, which follows the initial project brief and begins to take shape through conceptual ideas and designs. It's an important phase for turning the vision and requirements into a more structured and detailed design proposal.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Manage and organise all design-related documents ensuring proper filing, version control, and accessibility.
2. Distribute documents to relevant stakeholders and maintain smooth document flow between teams.
3. Ensure documents meet project specifications, regulatory standards, and internal protocols.
4. Coordinate the review and approval process for design documents, tracking revisions and feedback.
5. Track design changes and communicate updates across teams.
6. Produce reports on document status and ensure all documents are ready for audits and inspections.
7. Support compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
8. Using SharePoint to upload documents.
If you have experience as Document Control in design and are commutable to the Fenchurch/Aldgate area, I am keen to speak to you. Please submit your CV, and I will be in touch shortly.
