Hosting a wide variety of Events from Weddings, Corporate, Private and Public Community events. Silchester Farm is a beautiful venue nestled amongst the stunning rolling Hampshire countryside. It consists of a collection of charming old oak framed barns which have been carefully restored and stylishly refurbished to provide an unrivalled, unique, and refreshingly contemporary venue for events that can comfortably host up to 140 guests. To help guide our couples and clients throughout their planning journey. This process will include the planning and execution of events, incorporating on the day running of events both front of house and back of house. We are looking for a candidate with 2 or more years experience within the wedding and events industry. Due to the rural location, the successful candidate must have a driving license. The role: Running a team, organising set up, bar and waiting staff as well as communication with the kitchen throughout. Organise and run all planning meetings with Silchester Farm couples. Advise and suggest ideas to couples and clients with regards to timings and the running of the event. Actively upselling and embracing our food and drink offerings. Coordinate any suppliers to ensure a smooth set up on the day. Full ownership of office and diary management. Responding to couples and clients queries via email and telephone. Social Media and industry knowledge and awareness. Full coordination of the event day, venue point of contact for the client/ couple on the event day Understanding of food and drink service ? inclusive of allergen and dietary requirements, menu planning and exemplary customer service. What we are looking for in the successful candidate: An eye for detail and a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure a consistent and outstanding level of service. Confidence in running a front and back of house team. Previous experience in executing a formal dinner service. A friendly and approachable personality with excellent people skills. Have good knowledge on wedding and event trends. Comfortable and confident to run an event hosting up to 140 guests. Excellent time management. Confident with excel, word and outlook. Good language skills, both verbal and written. Consistent attitude and understanding of the nature of luxury events. Be proactive in your approach to problem solving and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
