Forest Health Care is looking for a proactive and highly organised Operations Manager to support the Practice Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice. This is a fixed-term maternity cover position for up to 12 months, working 25 hours per week.
In this key leadership role, you will provide guidance and support to staff, ensuring policies and procedures are followed while optimising efficiency and performance. You will be responsible for staff management, including recruitment, pre-employment checks, inductions, and training, as well as overseeing compliance with CQC regulations and standards. Additionally, you will play a vital role in maintaining an engaging online presence by updating the practice website and social media channels.

Main duties of the job
As Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the practice. Your main duties will include:
* Supporting the Practice Manager in the day-to-day operations, ensuring staff meet their responsibilities and adhere to policies and procedures.
* Providing leadership and guidance to staff, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and standards.
* Managing recruitment processes, including pre-employment checks, DBS checks, and overseeing staff inductions.
* Reviewing and updating job descriptions, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
* Implementing staff development initiatives, including training plans, appraisal processes, and maintaining training records.
* Overseeing patient services, supporting ambassadors to promote online services, and ensuring a consistent approach to patient management.
* Managing staff welfare, including disciplinary and grievance resolution processes.
* Maintaining the practices online presence, including updates to the website and social media.
* Ensuring health and safety compliance, including risk assessments, mandatory training, and monitoring safety alerts.
* Supporting continuous improvement and change initiatives to enhance practice efficiency and patient care.
Deputising for the Practice Manager when required and leading the management of the Patient Participation Group.
