ACCOUNTABLE TO -Operations Manager REPORTS TO -Clinical Lead Job Purpose We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant for our Prisons Service (X-ray). You will be required to travel to clinics in the Midlands, with potential travel to the north and south. The post holder will work closely with Radiographers and Radiologists, supporting them with patients during their clinics. To succeed you must have excellent communication skills and a flexible, proactive approach to delivering first class diagnostic services and patient care. Training is provided and further career development opportunities throughout the company. You will be required to keep a company van and you will need a full, clean driving licence. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Ensuring the smooth running of clinics within prison healthcare sites Assisting in the care and comfort of patients Assisting Radiographers and Radiologists during examinations Ensuring the clinical room is prepared prior to the start of clinical sessions Using the patient information systems (Soliton/PACS) Monitoring and maintaining adequate stock levels and ordering supplies of linen, gowns and consumables Ensuring and maintaining a patient centred and quality focused approach to all aspects of work Ensure patients have access to a chaperone at all times Uphold professional standards policy Uphold data protection and patient confidentiality at all times Assist in the induction and training of new staff. Provide administration support as required. Adhere to the Corporate and local policies applicable to the role. Adhere to MRI Operational and Safety policies and Healthshare Ionising Radiation polices when working within MRI, CT, X-ray and DEXA.
