Business Development Manager for a multi-site, global Logistics company who are building a sales super team. Described as the fastest growing Logistics company in the UK.
Location: North East territory
Requirements:
1. Business Development Manager MUST have sold Air, Road & Sea Freight for a Freight Forwarder.
2. Air Freight & Sea Freight sales experience essential.
3. Proven track record in external freight sales - ESSENTIAL.
4. Ability to bring business, clients, contacts will be a distinct advantage.
Package:
£30K - £50K + 10% commission for lifetime of account, Car allowance, Private Health Care, 33 days holiday, Employee benefits.
This role offers a completely flexible working arrangement. The aim is to develop business and make money, so whatever suits. Newcastle / North East location is important.
The Role:
1. Achieve new business sales targets by developing relationships with new (and lapsed) customers.
2. Generate own leads and opportunities and follow up on any leads and referrals.
3. Proactively own the sales process from lead generation to closing the sale.
4. Arrange own meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business.
5. Negotiate the terms of a sale (price, costs, delivery, and specifications) with buyers and close the sale.
6. Effectively interact with the Operations team to brief them on new sales/new customers.
7. Gather and maintain detailed market and target customer information.
8. Maintain a detailed knowledge of the Company's products, services, and pricing structures.
