Hume Doors & Timber (Qld) Pty Ltd, a 100% Australian owned company, is Australia’s leading Door Manufacturer and Timber Wholesaler, marketing its products to the hardware, timber and building industries throughout Australia and Overseas.
The company is looking for a Sales Administration Officer to join the team in our Kingston Head Office. The role and responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
1. Processing delivery dockets and invoicing (approximately 400-500 per day)
2. Customer communication via email and phone
Ideally, our candidate would have the following attributes:
1. Ability to follow direction
2. Ability to work autonomously
3. Organised and able to manage multiple tasks at one time
4. Enjoy talking to customers and answering their questions by providing potential solutions to their problems
5. Possess excellent computer skills and the ability to accurately process customer sales orders
This role is crucial to our organisation as you are the link between our on-site, high-quality manufacturing operations and our important customer base. In order to assist you to excel in this role, a period of internal training will be provided. It is therefore necessary for you to possess an ability to pick things up quickly and to be able to understand and then share that knowledge.
We utilise the PRONTO-Xi software throughout our company, so any exposure to Pronto would be an advantage. Previous experience within the hardware industry would also be an advantage, however it is not necessary.
The successful applicant must be motivated and have the ability to understand and meet deadlines. The role will require you to be a team player in our despatch office who is happy to assist in other areas where needed.
