An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sister/Charge Nurse to join us on our Older Peoples Wards at East Suffolk North Essex Foundation Trust, based at Ipswich Hospital. We have two posts available:
1. Full-time permanent post on Haughley Ward
2. Full-time 6 months fixed term/secondment post on Waveney Ward
We are looking for our next Ward Sister/Charge Nurse who is enthusiastic and motivated to lead a ward supporting patients with advanced dementia, delirium, and other medical and complex needs. You will be required to manage complex discharge planning and work with networks to support the development of care and access to services for this specialist group of patients.

As we head into a new chapter and begin the merge with the Medicine division, you will need to be confident and approachable while supporting change and development. You will also have the responsibility of supporting your team while we approach the launch of EPIC, our new EPR system. With all this in mind, you need to be a driven and enthusiastic individual who is approachable and positive at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
* To have overall responsibility for the operational management of clinical service delivery at ward level.
* To promote high standards of professional practice and the delivery of quality care within the corporate policies, protocols, and guidelines.
* To be accountable for the delivery and monitoring of robust infection control measures at ward/department level through relentless vigilance.
* To provide clinical and managerial leadership to nursing and support staff.
* To be a highly skilled clinical expert with specialized knowledge in caring for patients.
