Purpose
The position of PMO Manager operates within the ScottishPower Renewables (SPR) Program Office and ensures quality assurance and adherence to our Program Office processes. This role will cover all aspects utilised by the Onshore Renewables team from Development through to Delivery.
As PMO Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining governance within the portfolio of projects by managing our key processes.
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for planning and managing stage gates from Origination through to Delivery, facilitating meetings and defining terms of reference, ensuring checklists are in place and compliant with the process.
2. Planning and managing Project Review Board meetings from Origination, through to Handover then onto Delivery, ensuring adherence to the reporting cycle and that all Project Director reports are issued on time.
3. Managing the rollout of Risk Management methodology from Origination through to Operations, planning and managing the Risk management portfolio process, and escalating meetings as necessary.
4. Organising risk governance meetings and defining terms of reference, tracking project portfolio risks, managing the risk reporting cycle, and ensuring consistency of scoring.
5. Facilitating Program Office workshops, including lessons learnt and improvement sessions, implementing frameworks and methodologies to standardise management of project portfolios.
What you’ll bring
To be successful in this role, you will be educated to degree level in a Business or Technical discipline. With project or programme management certification, you will be a strong facilitator and possess excellent people management and relationship skills. You will manage cyclic reporting processes within tight timelines, demonstrating excellent stakeholder management skills and a strong understanding of project governance and controls.
Knowledgeable in the Renewables industry (Wind, Solar and BESS are preferred but not essential), you will be familiar with Power BI and managing programmes of work. An excellent communicator, you will be a leader of people, utilising your previous experience managing and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.
