Alliance Personnel are seeking a skilled MIG and TIG Welder to join one of their clients based in Birmingham, B66. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various materials, including sheet metal. This role involves fabricating and assembling components to meet precise specifications while ensuring high-quality welding standards. Duties Operate MIG and TIG welding equipment to fabricate and assemble metal components. Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand project requirements. Utilise power tools and hand tools for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal parts. Conduct quality checks on completed welds to ensure adherence to safety standards and specifications. Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise. Proficiency in assembling components accurately according to specifications. Basic maths skills for measuring, calculating dimensions, and ensuring precision in work. Experience in fabricating metal parts using various welding techniques, particularly MIG and TIG. The working week is 38 1/2 hours over 4 days Monday to Thursday with overtime on Fridays if needed. Start time is: 6:40am to 4:45pm Pay is £15 per hour, increasing to £16 per hour after successful temp to perm probation. (Weld test required)
