About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to lead pioneering advancements in simulation technology as part of the Safe Autonomy Research Group at WMG.
The role offers the chance to design, innovate, and expand simulation solutions across domains such as air, marine, and human-in-the-loop applications, leveraging state-of-the-art game engine technologies like Unreal Engine and Unity.

About You
You are an experienced and innovative professional with a strong academic background and significant expertise in game development and simulation technologies.
With a proven ability to develop production-level solutions and cross-domain applications, you possess a deep understanding of programming languages such as Python, C++, and C#.
You are a skilled collaborator with excellent communication and project planning skills, capable of mentoring team members and delivering results within tight deadlines.
Experience in research, data analysis, and industry collaborations further highlights your ability to excel in this role.

About the Department
WMG is a vibrant, cutting-edge research institution at the University of Warwick, one of the world's leading research and education groups with state-of-the-art technologies. WMG hosts one of the seven centres for High Value Manufacturing (HVM) Catapult.
The Safe Autonomy Research Group at WMG are undertaking a programme of research and engineering across the verification and validation of automated transport (land, air and marine). From fundamental research, to applied research, the development of policy, standards and regulation, and direct commercial research.
Our programme of work is having a material impact on the creation and application of novel safety assurance methods across emerging technologies, influencing international standards, policy and industrial methods. We are proudly enabling a new wave of technological progress by working with partners worldwide through our projects funded by Innovate UK, Horizon Europe and commercial industrial partners.
