The Client
Mech Electrics have a brand new vacancy for a Mechanical Site Manager on behalf of our client, a successful M&E Contractor. This will be on a major, new build education facility in the East Yorkshire region with extra works to follow and the client is looking for a local candidate for this role.
The Role & its Responsibilities
As Mechanical Site Manager you will be working for the M&E division of the main contractor who is running the overall project and your responsibilities will be as follows:
1. Overseeing the delivery of specific packages or the overall Mechanical works.
2. Being part of a highly successful delivery team with direct access to clients and their professional teams.
3. Ensuring the delivery of the systems and that these are coordinated and completed to the correct quality and verified to the drawings.
4. Management of the deliveries including plant, equipment and works packages in conjunction with the commercial and procurement teams.
5. Engagement with the supply chain to ensure successful delivery of each of their packages to meet the objectives of the programme and the project. A proactive approach is essential to avoid delays.
6. Coordinating and supporting with the commissioning engineers to ensure the levels of commissioning are completed on-time and to the correct requirements and witnessed.
7. Ensuring the correct handover of a project is followed ensuring all documentation and legislatory paperwork is completed and handed over and recorded.
8. Recording progress and being familiar with the key requirements of site diaries, photo records and accurate reporting into the project managers.
9. Organising meetings, tool-box talks, etc.
The Individual
The Mechanical Site Manager will need to have a sound knowledge of Mechanical services with proven experience of site-managing within building services projects. You will also have excellent communication skills, be able to record documentations efficiently and have confidence with decision-making.

* Industry recognised qualifications.
* IT proficient.
* SMSTS essential.
* CSCS card - essential.
* H&S knowledge up to date.
* Self-motivated.
Salary and Package
The client is offering a salary of up to £55K + car allowance, and excellent benefits including 6% pension, bonus scheme and private healthcare.
