We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cross-Sectional Radiographer to join our Imaging team based in Hemel Hempstead. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary plus benefits.
Main duties of the job
About the role
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Undertake all clinical work in the Imaging Department and demonstrate specialised knowledge and expertise to support the Imaging Lead.
2. Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service.
3. Participate in the vetting and prioritising of all Imaging examinations according to departmental guidelines and in the optimisation and development of protocols.
4. Produce high-quality images to assist in diagnosis and treatment, while demonstrating high standards of care.
5. Be responsible for training and supervision of junior and assistant staff in both the delivery of the service and their individual development needs in a motivational manner.
The successful candidate will be expected to work on a shift basis, working 37.5 hours per week over a 7-day rota during the hospital operating hours. The rota is not fixed, is subject to change in order to meet operational needs, and will require working weekends and bank holidays in accordance with the rota.
About you
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
* Diploma of College of Radiographers/BSc Radiography or equivalent with current/valid HCPC registration.
* Post qualification experience ideally within a private healthcare setting.
* Evidence of CPD.
* Excellent understanding of the role of a Senior Cross-Sectional Radiographer and Imaging service.
* Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
