Job Advert Role Description
An amazing job opportunity has arisen for a committed RMN to work in an exceptional hospital based in Ayr, South Ayrshire. This hospital provides acute adult mental health services within a low Secure Service, for patients with personality disorders.
As a Nurse, you will be expected to have excellent interpersonal skills when liaising with members of the multi-disciplinary team, external agencies and organisations, patients, and relatives. The RMN should also have a good working knowledge of the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007. Experience in a related environment is essential.
Your key duties include:
* Provide a high standard of care to people with mental illness and personality disorder
* Develop therapeutic relationships to optimise patient engagement
* Contribute to patient assessments, compiling a plan of care alongside the individual, and monitoring patient progress
* Lead shifts and mentor student nurses and other team members at a more senior level
* Follow all codes of conduct, standards and legislation, respecting the rights of others and promoting ethical practice
