The Opportunity
We are excited to be looking for a Community and Events Fundraising Officer to join the Foundation's Fundraising team at Emirates Old Trafford.
About Us
Emirates Old Trafford, home of Lancashire Cricket, is an award-winning world-class stadium and venue. It is recognised as one of the UK’s most prestigious venues for sport, business, leisure and entertainment with a capacity of up to 50,000 people for concerts; 26,000 for international cricket matches; meetings and events spaces for up to 2,000 delegates; a four-star hotel with 250 rooms; and an on-site Caffè Nero.
Key Responsibilities
To support our ambitions to achieve continued growth in Fundraising Team, we are looking for an experienced Community and Events Fundraising Officer to join our team. You will be responsible for:
* Develop and implement an annual event and community fundraising plan.
* Manage all aspects of specific events (charity-owned, challenge and mass participation events), ensuring all tasks are assigned and completed as per the project plans.
* Produce budgets to ensure events are run within budgeted expenditure and achieve target income.
* Propose new events and community fundraising initiatives (community groups, schools, recreational cricket clubs) for the Foundation to diversify its portfolio, undertaking research and building the business case.
* Manage and support any fundraising volunteers as appropriate.
* Use existing and new networks to maximise potential fundraising activities.
* Develop and cultivate relationships with event participants and community fundraisers to maximise income and encourage repeat participation.
* Develop tailored communications and resources for event participants/community fundraisers.
* With the Fundraising Manager, develop the community and events strategy to grow income and increase active supporters.
* Monitor and report on community fundraising and events income.
* Administer charity requests received (from cricket clubs / leagues / individuals / other organisations) in line with agreed processes and systems.
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience in event and community fundraising.
* Demonstrate a strong track record in achieving financial targets.
* Experience of project management, monitoring, evaluation and running projects to deadline.
* Experience of developing and successfully launching new community and/or events fundraising initiatives.
* Budget setting and monitoring, strategy development and action planning.
* Proven experience of developing and managing effective long-term relationships with a range of stakeholders.
* Experience of providing exemplary supporter stewardship, to strengthen and cultivate relationships with fundraisers.
* Full UK driving licence with access to own car.

* The Lancashire Cricket Foundation is a charitable organisation and as such all staff will be required to support the various annual fundraising activities and initiatives as requested by the Senior Management Team.
