We have an exciting opportunity to work within the Estates & Facilities Division, and we are looking to appoint a highly motivated and conscientious individual to work as a Business Support Manager.
The role of the post holder is to support the Senior Business Manager, leading on workforce-related issues and projects. The post-holder will be responsible for ensuring timely interventions and conclusions of operational workforce issues. This will involve taking a lead role in sickness management, recruitment, and workforce-related systems.
The post holder will predominantly work Monday – Friday but may be occasionally required to work weekends and Bank Holidays, depending on service pressure.
Main Duties of the Job
The post-holder will play a leading role in the development of training and will be expected to devise and deliver specific localised training and mentorship in support of the broader corporate agenda.
The post holder will ensure that workforce policies, practices, and information are acted upon to improve the day-to-day efficiency of Workforce Management across the Estates & Facilities Division. This role does not replace the responsibilities of Managers and Supervisors but provides a vital resource and overview to ensure appropriate action and compliance.

Qualifications and Knowledge
Essential Criteria
* Educated to first-degree level or relevant equivalent demonstrable experience.
* Plus post Graduate Diploma or Management Qualification and/or equivalent demonstrable experience in the workforce facilities area.
* Evidence of CPD.
* An understanding of key issues affecting the Health Board and the role of Facilities.
* Comprehensive & up-to-date knowledge of Workforce Policies and Procedures.
* Knowledge of training interventions and motivational techniques.
Desirable Criteria
* CIPD.
* ECDL.
* A working knowledge of employment law.
Experience

* Significant experience of workforce issues and working at senior management level within the NHS.
* Evidence of working with, and producing information to improve efficiency.
* Proven experience of project management, modernisation, or remodelling of services.
* Knowledge of data protection and confidentiality issues.
