About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our business teaching team. The business learning area offers a range of vocational and academic programmes at Level 2, Level 3, A Level, and the upcoming T level offer, primarily at our Highbury Campus.
A successful candidate would work collaboratively within the business team to teach and assess a range of business topics including management, administration, marketing, finance, and HR; provide high-quality learning opportunities that meet the needs of our diverse student cohorts; contribute to the development and delivery of a high-quality, responsive business curriculum; and maintain quality assurance of the programmes delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
* To teach on a range of programmes, providing high-quality learning opportunities that meet the needs of individual students/apprentices.
* To provide flexible assessment opportunities and closely plan, monitor, track and record student/apprentice retention, achievement, and success.
* To contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality, relevant curriculum and programmes, including:
o Actively contributing to the development of new programmes within the curriculum area
o Producing annual schemes of work and/or training plans for all subjects/programmes to be taught
To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:
* Degree in Business or related subject areas, or vocational experience in the business sector.
* Post-graduate Teaching Qualification (or willingness to undertake studies towards a PGCE, with full support from the College).
* Experience planning, delivering, and assessing business programmes is desirable.
* Evidence of commitment to ongoing professional updating and development.
* A professional approach with a commitment to excellence and quality.
* An excellent communicator and supportive team member.
* Commitment to setting high standards and expectations for both self and learners.
