Kings College Emergency Department is a dynamic environment seeing approximately 130,000 patients a year. We are looking for an inspirational nurse who enjoys teamwork and making a difference to the team and the patients.
The Junior Sister/Charge Nurse will assist their Team leader with managing their own team of nurses and ensuring they meet their potential. You will be actively involved in retention and recruitment and responsible for link roles to drive change and improve standards.
Main duties of the job
As a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse, you will support the senior and junior team in delivering high-quality care to our patients. The role involves working as part of a large multidisciplinary team and clinically in all areas of the Emergency Department.
Person specification
Education and Qualification
* 1st level Registered General Nurse
* Further professional studies relevant to the clinical area
* Mentorship programme or equivalent teaching qualification
Experience and Skills
* Demonstrable clinical expertise relevant to the area
* Able to contribute to the development of students, nurses, and oneself
* Communication skills – able to relate and communicate with patients and staff at all levels
* Team building and working skills – able to lead a team to achieve results
