Location: Bridgnorth
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Mon - Thurs (08:00 - 16:30), Fri (08:00 - 13:00)
Salary: Competitive, DOE

About the role
We are seeking a motivated Financial Controller to join our finance team, supporting the Senior Financial Controller and Financial Director in driving financial excellence across the business.
What you'll be doing:
* Assist in the preparation of monthly accounts and financial reports, provide insightful financial analysis and oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes.
* Play a key role in the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies.
* Support external audits by preparing financial schedules and responding to auditor queries.
* Support the development and enhancement of financial systems and reporting tools and document and improve accounting policies, processes, and controls across the business.
* Act as a key finance business partner, working with senior management to drive performance, working closely with department heads to align financial planning with business objectives.
* Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency,
Who we're looking for
You'll be a Qualified or Finalist in CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification with experience as a Management Accountant or Financial Controller either in practice or in industry. You'll have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
It would be great if you also have:
* Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Navision, QuickBooks, or similar financial systems (desirable).
* A proactive mindset with a drive for process improvement and efficiency.
