A vacancy has arisen for a part-time Clinic Clerk within the Breast Services admin and clerical department as support to the Breast care Nurse and outpatient clinics.
The successful candidate will be based at Clatterbridge Hospital and will work as part of a team under the supervision of the Team Leader providing clerical and reception support in the outpatient department, sending out appointments to patients and maintaining appropriate records.

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic person to take on a challenging and sometimes pressurised role. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Please see attached Job Description for further information about the Clinic Clerk position available at WUTH. If successful in this role, there is a requirement for you to have a standard/enhanced DBS. This will be paid for by the Trust and then deducted from your salary over a period of 3 months.
As this vacancy is within the division of Women's and Children's, there is a mandatory requirement for successful applicants to join the DBS update service. The cost of joining the update service is £16 per year, and applicants are liable to cover this cost with no reimbursement from the Trust. Further details of how to join the update service will be provided upon appointment.
Person Specification
Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
* Experience of working in an administrative role
* NVQ Level 2 in a relevant subject
* Previous experience in an NHS acute hospital
* Previous experience of the Cerner Millennium information system

* Basic working knowledge of IT
* Good keyboard and computer skills
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Good time management and organisational skills
* Knowledge of NHS admin processes
* Awareness of Information Governance
