The successful candidate will contribute to the formation of cross-departmental team of interdisciplinary scientists working on ‘cellular interfaces’. This is an excellence cluster that expands, diversifies and leverages the activities of the Centre for Mechanochemical Cell Biology (CMCB). CMCB is a pre-eminent centre in the UK that already researches the roles of molecular motors, mechanics in cell and developmental biology ( The cellular interfaces cluster is led by Professor Satyajit Mayor, a world-leading researcher who has made fundamental contributions towards our understanding of how the cell membrane is organised at a nanometer scale and how this impacts cell and tissue scale biology.
