Credit Controller – Maternity Leave FTC 6 months

Tallis Amos Group are currently hiring a 6 month FTC for a credit controller to cover a maternity leave in our Hinton on the Green depot. With a history in agricultural machinery stretching back over 100 years and one of the longest standing John Deere dealerships in the UK, we seek to hire a self starting professional to begin in late April or early May to complete a hand over with the current credit controller.
Joining a small but close-knit team of five for a period of 6 months, the successful applicant will be working with a wide portfolio of customers in both our Turf and Agricultural divisions ranging in size from small one man bands right up to some of the biggest food producers in the local area.
Daily credit control duties such as updating the system tracking and ledger notes, carrying out monthly Sales Ledger downloads and updating it with the appropriate information. A key aspect of the work will involve preparing and holding debtors’ meetings with depot managers and Directors in addition to preparing and issuing out monthly debt reminders, pre-legal letter, legal action or for external debt recovery as required. Other duties will include taking payments, creating new customer accounts, carrying out credit checks, updating customers credit and monitoring accounts on “STOP”.
The successful applicant will have prior experience within a Credit Control role, confident phone and email communication skill, high attention to detail and well developed organisational skills. The proven ability to work well in a team with the wider organisation is essential as is a willingness to provide support to other finance team members with ad hoc tasks.
