We are looking for Skilled Fitters to work an ongoing contract.Our client are shaping the Future of Flight. As a global company they are serving the worlds leading aircraft and aero-engine manufacturers with three business lines: Civil airframe, defense airframe and engine systems.Key information:Skilled FitterCore Days £17.72 PAYE - Umbrella £23.11Overtime 1 Weekdays £26.58 PAYE - Umbrella £34.67Overtime 2 Weekends £35.44 PAYE ( Applicable from 18:00 Friday, across the weekend, until 06:00 Monday morning) - Umbrella £46.227 Day Fort Day Shift - £22.68 PAYE - Umbrella £29.58 Overtime as above.Shift Pattern: Days for the first couple of weeks then will move onto 7 day Fort Day shiftHours are 6am to 6pmWeek 1 Mon Tues Fri Sat Sun 57.5 HoursWeek 2 Weds Thurs 23 hours80.5 hours so 40.25 averaged per weekOther working hours information: 12 weeks on days whilst training and obtaining stampWe can also offer a retention bonus £500 at 3 months and a further £500 at 6 monthsLocation: Western Approach - Fixed Training EdgeSecurity requirements: Baseline Security Clearance required / Can start with Security Ongoing providing Security forms returned and we have DBS ReceiptPlease note a Criminal Record Check will cost £18.Additional Information: Qualifications Beneficial but not Essential – If No Certs will need 3-5 years Aerospace Related Experience – Candidates will need to attend a Trade Test at the WA site involving drilling riveting and countersinking working with CompositesMAIN TASKSAs a Skilled Composite Aircraft Fitter, you will be involved in working on a range of aircraft main wing assemblies and sub-assemblies from detail parts, whilst embracing appropriate assembly techniques, tools and fixtures, in accordance with the appropriate technical data and competencies .KEY DELIVERABLESDrilling/Reaming/Countersinking of composite and metallic componentsSet aircraft components in calibrated build jigs.Deburring and under head radius of aircraft components and assembliesFettling using approved and calibrated setting toolsUse of nut runners and pre-set torque guns for boltingParticipate fully in local continuous improvement activitiesWork in line with Health & Safety site requirementsKEY SKILLS AND REQUIRMENTSApprenticeship or recognized equivalent qualification, desirable but not essential.Minimum 3 years’ relevant trade experience assembling aircraft components using drawings and processes.Good hand skills and co-ordinationUnderstand aircraft drawings, limits and quality systemsAbility to operate CNC machines and processes as requiredSelf-motivated team player with good communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work both alone and in small teamsAbility and willingness to undertake training and understanding of composite manufacturing techniques and processesTo take responsibility to “self-certify” own workWorking knowledge of IT systems including SAP and Microsoft packagesINDDC
