Role - Finance Manager Location - Z-Tech Offices, Swavesey, Cambridgeshire Salary - Competitive M Group Services is a PE owned business delivering a range of essential infrastructure services within the water, energy, transport and telecom sectors in the UK & Ireland. The Group was recently acquired by CVC Capital Partners, and under this new ownership the Group is looking to grow significantly over the next 5 years through organic growth and acquisition. It is an exciting time to join the Group at the start of this next wave of growth. As the Finance Manager you will be working within the Z-Tech Finance team, reporting to the Head of Finance (MEICA), who in turn reports to the Divisional Finance Director. Your role will be focused on managing the transactional team at Z-Tech and will be responsible for the balance sheet, cash flow forecasting and financial controls. Key accountabilities: Responsibility for the maintenance of the balance sheet reconciliations and review of the balance sheet with the Water Division finance team. Ensure financial controls are maintained and strengthened, with a mindset of continuous improvement. Developing and mentoring a team of two Accounts Assistants and one Administrator. Responsibility for producing the monthly cashflow forecast and monitoring of actual cashflows. Managing the company Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes, assisting the Accounts Assistants with any queries and complicated transactions. Quarterly VAT returns with the support of the Group Tax specialists Ensure the finance teams timely and accurate recording of customer PO’s on system project monitoring. Support the company payroll processes, plus review payroll in the Head of Finance’s absence. Review supplier payment proposals. Assisting operations teams with new customer and new supplier requests. Maintenance of Finance Training Manual. ONS Surveys. Assist Project Managers, Operations Managers and company Directors with their finance queries. Assist with system implementations.Qualifications / Skills: Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA (or other relevant accounting qualification) preferred. Ideally previous experience with project based businesses and understanding of long term contract accounting on a percentage of completion basis. Experience in coaching and developing junior members of the team. Knowledge and Experience of Sage and Oracle Fusion financial systems would be useful. Advanced Excel skills.
