Production Planner
£25k to £28k
Days Monday to Friday
Previous Production Planner experience required.
Manufacturing, production or an engineering background would be preferred - will be working as part of a team.
Permanent Role
Based in the Black Country area.
Key Responsibilities for a Production Planner:
* Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products.
* Plan and prioritise operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
* Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand.
* Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget.
* Production departmental planning.
* Shop floor documentation release & control.
* KPI reporting for machine and plant utilisation.
* Load production orders onto current IT system.
* Utilise order data, routing processes & times to define machine/department plans.
* Issue daily, weekly & long-term machine/department future loading analysis.
* Communicate with shop floor team leaders and departments priorities.
* Issue production plans and release shop floor documentation.
* Liaise with internal departments to ensure production is supported.
* Progress production throughout plant/departments to meet plans.
Details of a Production Planner:
* Good communicator, written and verbal (presentation).
* Able to build strong relationships, internal and external.
* Good engineering and IT skills.
* Mathematically literate, understanding cost and pricing.
* Able to work with others, communicating and building robust working relationships with other departments and people across the business.
* Demonstrate a positive attitude to new ideas and approaches.
* Based in the Black Country area.
