HSBC HBEU Operational Resilience are a global team of c.30 FTE's who provide support for 9 markets in both their compliance to local resilience regulations and global resilience frameworks. As well as providing flexible support to each of the markets, this team are responsible for providing a cross:market view by sharing insights, driving efficiencies, executing resilience testing, and ensuring a consistent standard is achieved across all HBEU markets.
In this fantastic, new role, you will report into an HBEU Operational Resilience Delivery Lead.
This is a rare opportunity to join a new team and work across multiple markets as the Operational Resilience lifecycle activity is embedded into BAU
.
The key aspect to your role will be to support key stakeholders within HBEU markets performing the day:to:day activities as set out by the Global Operational Resilience Framework. This will include supporting the annual refresh of Important Business Service (IBS) identification (including Important Group Business Services ('IGBS')
), the review of Impact Tolerances, dependency mapping, the performance of resilience testing, the remediation of any vulnerabilities, and supporting the completion of Self Assessments
.
In this role you will:
:
Support the ongoing identification and annual review and refresh of the list of IBSs and IGBSs in alignment with Group principles and prioritisation criteria.
:
Document and maintain the documentation of the Customer Value chain for IBSs, and IGBSs.
:
Document and maintain Impact Tolerance statements for each IBS, and IGBS to accurately represent the point at which intolerable harm would be caused.
:
Document, review, and maintain process delivery maps to understand how IBSs and IGBSs are delivered, and catalogue dependencies.
:
Refresh and maintain the BSO Incident Management checklist for HBEU, reflecting any changes to Group guidance, and ensuring this is understood and effectively implemented within HBEU markets.

Document IBS/ IGBS Self Assessments to summarise underlying resilience, including an assessment of Technology resilience, and highlighting any known vulnerabilities as well as planned remedial actions.

Monitor, track, and support the closure of any vulnerabilities to IBS or IGBS resilience.

Support the completion of both entity and Group level thematic analyses to understand common themes or concentrations of vulnerabilities and provide flexible support for remediation activities.
