Transport Support Officer – SEND
Start: Mon 8th January, 2025
Rate: £20.72 per hour, umbrella Inside IR35
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week
Working pattern: Largely remote working but with 1-2 days per week onsite
Location: Midlands
Candidates must have the following essential skills and experience:
1. Daily Operations: Supervise the coordination and delivery of day-to-day transport services for SEND students, ensuring timely and reliable transportation to and from educational settings.
2. Transport Planning and Scheduling: Develop and manage efficient transport schedules, ensuring optimal use of resources and adherence to timetables.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary contact for schools, transport providers, and parents, ensuring clear communication and resolution of operational concerns.
4. Operational Problem-Solving: Respond promptly to transport incidents, service disruptions, or complaints, coordinating with relevant parties to implement effective solutions.
5. Team Player: Assist the managers in supporting and supervising team colleagues.
6. Contract Management: Liaise with transport providers to monitor compliance with contractual terms, ensuring high service standards and addressing performance issues promptly.
7. Excellent IT competency levels.
8. Great communicator, familiar with the legislation around home to school transport, and have excellent time management and organisational skills.
