We are seeking a dedicated and caring 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a school in Exeter. In this rewarding part-time role, you will work closely with a student to provide tailored support, ensuring they have the resources and assistance they need to thrive in the classroom. You will be working alongside teachers and other professionals to foster an inclusive learning environment that encourages the student’s academic, social, and emotional development. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support to a student, ensuring their individual needs are met. Assist with learning activities and tasks, promoting engagement and progress. Support the student with classroom routines, helping them stay focused and organized. Work closely with the class teacher to adapt lessons and materials as needed. Monitor and record the student’s progress, providing feedback as required. Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere in the classroom. Skills and Qualifications: Previous experience working with children is essential. In an educational setting is preferable. A passion for helping children reach their full potential. Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Experience or an understanding of supporting students with special educational needs is desirable.
