Job Title: Community Support Worker - Children & Young People
Location: Various locations
Salary: £15+ per hour

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Support Worker to support children and young people with a variety of needs within the community. This role requires a minimum staffing ratio of 2:1, ensuring both the safety and well-being of service users, while providing protection for staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provide physical and emotional support to children and young people with a range of mental, physical, and learning disabilities, assisting with activities of daily living, household tasks, and personal care.
- Maintain detailed daily notes, documenting observations such as emotional states, interactions with others (e.g. family, staff), conversations, food intake, and daily routines.
- Assist in managing the young person's finances, ensuring receipts are kept for all transactions.
- Identify and report any safeguarding issues, ensuring the well-being of the service user at all times.
- Support with the implementation of care plans, risk assessments, reviews, and incident reporting, ensuring these are strictly adhered to.
- Build strong, positive relationships with children/young people, their families, and external healthcare professionals.
- Support with daily routines, including waking up, bedtime, attending education, and medical appointments.
- Assist in promoting independence through engaging in activities, learning programmes, and other development opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet in challenging situations.
- Emotional resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A professional, non-judgemental attitude towards the service users, regardless of their needs.
- High attention to detail, particularly in recording and completing notes and forms.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- A DBS certificate (we can assist with this if needed).
- A driving licence is preferred as the role may involve travel to various locations.
- A Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or a similar relevant subject is desirable, but not essential.
