To be a lead player in the Insights team, providing a full market research service to the Princes cross functional teams. Be the first point of contact for market data support and proactive delivery of consumer, market and business insights.

Dimensions
• Support key functions in all aspects of market data sourcing, analysis and interpretation – functions include Strategy, Analytics, Brand, Category, RGM, Commercial Innovation etc
• Day to day management of contracted market data suppliers and services
• Management and circulation of all market data reports
• Support Head of Insights on research briefs and proactive Insights content aligned to briefs and business strategy
• Support the Insight and Innovation team on bespoke consumer and shopper research projects
Principal Responsibilities
• To be the first point of contact for market data support and queries by becoming an expert in Circana EPOS, Kantar shopper panel and retailer loyalty card data (e.g. Tesco Clubcard, Sainsbury’s Nectar).
• Support key functions e.g. Brand Marketing, Category, Analytics, Strategy, Sales etc in terms of data analysis, interpretation and recommendations (e.g. promotional analysis, category reviews, brand reviews, new listing arguments/delisting defends).
• Manage requests for new market data by identifying the relevant suppliers that can fulfil the request, obtaining a proposal and ensuring the right data is delivered in the correct format.
• Manage, coordinate and attend a full training program from all of our data providers to ensure key internal stakeholders are fully trained on systems and maximum value is gained from the data provided.
• Support the Insight and Innovation function with strategic project work.
• Manage the accuracy, delivery and distribution of all market data reports on a 4 weekly basis.
• Day to day management of core agencies e.g. Kantar and Circana on key actions and tasks including category definitions, new product placement and data queries.
• Assist the Insight team with bespoke consumer and shopper research projects (e.g. sensory product testing, brand health, food consumption, shopper research, consumer centricity project work).
• Work with our market data providers to ensure that Princes receive regular strategic presentations on key topics that enable the business to identify business, category and brand growth opportunities.
• Ensure maximum value is derived from all contracted data sources (e.g. The Food People, Mintel, IGD, Brand Nudge, Circana and Kantar).
• Manage and promote the internal Knowledge Bank as a single point of access for all consumer and shopper research available for food and drink.
To maintain product Food Safety, Legality, Integrity, Authenticity and Quality standards by ensuring all associated policies and procedures are adhered to.
Role Requirements Knowledge, Skills & Experience
• Marketing degree qualification or equivalent desirable
• Familiarity with market research, particularly market data (Circana and Kantar desirable)
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
• Strong organisational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
