About The Role
As a consulting business, our people are our greatest asset. With this in mind, a high degree of focus is needed in the PeopleOps area to support our existing Hippos to attract new talent in order to deliver on our growth plans.
The People Operations Administrator is a crucial member of the PeopleOps team and you will play a pivotal role in providing a seamless, efficient and first class service during the on-boarding of new hippos to the business. This is a hybrid role with a requirement to visit the Leeds office and/or other Hippo offices for meetings 1-2 times per month, but with the flexibility to work from the office more often if preferred.
The People area is broken down into 2 areas: with two heads of:
- Talent Acquisition (led by Lynne Mulligan);
- People Operations & Development (led by Helen Croft);
Vital to the success of this role you will work with the Talent Acquisition, Client Operations team as well as our third-party suppliers to provide administration support that will include but not limited to:
- On-boarding
- Off-boarding
- People ops processes and procedures
- People ops systems.
The role in a nutshell:
- Onboarding admin and organisation including contract creation and onboarding onto our systems for all new starters
- Being a point of contact for new starters guiding them through the process and assisting with any queries
- Scheduling and supporting new starter onboarding and assisting throughout the onboarding process
- Manage our third party supplier in the processing of background checks (BPSS) and Security Clearance ensuring deadlines are met
- Regular reporting and compliance checks for contractors
- Administration of our company benefits
- Weekly and monthly regular reporting and ad hoc reporting
- Administration of offboarding
- Ensuring a positive experience through the employee lifecycle by process improvement
- Maintaining the accuracy of our people systems BambooHR, Lattice and 360 Learning.
About the Candidate:
- You should have strong administrative experience, ideally (but not essential) within a People Operations environment.
- You need to be able to work in a fast-paced collaborative team to provide a high quality and responsive service to the business.
- Organised and able to prioritise effectively with strong attention to detail, able to work under pressure and multi-task with good problem-solving ability.
- A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to use your own initiative.
