An excellent operations leadership opportunity in an accomplished Northwest homelessness and domestic abuse support charity.
About them
They are a leading Northwest based charity with 45 years’ experience of delivering quality support services to vulnerable homeless women, young parents, men, and their families affected by domestic abuse.
They support people to overcome their experiences and improve their safety and life opportunities. They provide information to help individuals make positive choices about their futures and build the skills and resources necessary to take control of their lives, secure their own tenancy, and maintain a quality of life long-term.
They also deliver relationship training to employers, colleges, and schools as part of their mission to end domestic abuse, homelessness, and the breakdown of relationships.
They own 20 properties and manage an additional 80 through lease and letting arrangements, supporting and housing people in Rochdale, Wigan, Cheshire West, and Chester.
Their front-line teams, numbering 45 dedicated staff across 5 locations, take pride in their values-driven approach and commitment to providing person-led support.
About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will build on strong foundations to deliver on their mission and develop future capabilities across a diverse range of services and projects.
You will guide and support staff in effectively supporting clients and ensure timely and robust processes for monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on outcomes. You will coach and innovate service delivery, identifying and shaping new opportunities to achieve their mission.
You will build strong relationships with commissioners and key stakeholders, including contract managers, agencies, and other bodies offering support to clients, to identify new opportunities for contract and grant-based delivery.
As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will help shape and implement the business and operational strategy and deputize for the Chief Executive when required.
Essential Requirements:
1. Proven management experience in delivering impact across similar person-centred services.
2. Excellent leadership and management skills.
3. Understanding of safeguarding and how to assure its effectiveness.
4. Experience of strategic and operational risk reporting, budgeting, planning, and management.
5. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
6. Strong communication, relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skills.
7. Strong analytical, monitoring, and reporting skills with attention to detail.
8. Skilled in Microsoft Office and database programmes for Operations.
9. Passionate about client aims and ethos.
10. High degree of integrity, tact, diplomacy, and organisational spirit.
11. Hands-on approach and a team player.

Location: Rochdale (With flexible working)
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Starting Salary £49,000 plus benefits
Hours: Full time, 36 hrs with the potential to work flexible hours and one day a week from home.
Benefits: Health Plan, cycle, Computer, Pension & Savings Schemes. Annual Leave: 23 days per annum rising to 28, plus 5 hours per year to attend hospital appointments.
