Job Title: Client Engagement Specialist

Reports To: Client Engagement Letter Manager/Lawyer
Working Hours: 35 hours per week, 9:30am to 5:30pm but additional hours may be required. We are happy to consider agile and flexible working patterns. Our approach to hybrid working allows for up to 40% of time working from home and 60% working in the office.

Department Description
The General Counsels’ office is legal counsel to the firm. We are involved with all legal matters relating to conflicts, ethics, engagement terms and business intake; compliance with law and legal requirements in all of our jurisdictions; interactions with regulators; general firm policies; risk management and matters affecting the reputation of the firm; and legal issues in the business of the firm such as contracts and agreements.
Role Overview
This position is responsible for working closely with the firm's General Counsel, Legal Ethics Committee, firm attorneys, and other levels of firm administration as well as other members of the Conflicts and Compliance Department in connection with the review and drafting of client engagement terms, outside counsel guidelines, and related documents.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Essential
1. Responsible for review of client engagement terms, and other documents/contracts as assigned, to facilitate approval from firm management including the firm's General Counsel and Legal Ethics Committee.
2. Assist manager and supervisor in serving as a key point of contact for client engagement terms and questions for Hogan Lovells attorneys and assistants as well as other business services departments.
3. Assist managers and conflicts analysts in the identification, resolution and clearance of conflicts of interest issues in connection with client engagement terms.
Specific duties or responsibilities may be reviewed from time to time to reflect changes in personnel and management structure, staff location or services.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Experience
1. Law degree preferred.
2. At least two to three (2-3) years of legal experience preferred.
3. Previous experience reviewing and drafting contracts preferred.
4. 3E and Intapp experience a plus.
5. Conflicts analysis and resolution experience.
