Our client, a reputable small animal RCVS accredited practice nestled in a scenic town in East Sussex, is currently seeking a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated team. This charming town, with its lush forests, serene rivers, stunning cliffs, and picturesque pebbled beach, has repeatedly been hailed as one of the most beautiful places to live in the UK. For those who enjoy the city life, Brighton, with its vibrant nightlife and exceptional cuisine, is less than 30 minutes away by train. Gatwick Airport is a 40-minute train ride away, and London Victoria is a mere 1 hour and 40 minutes away.
Established in the area since the early 1970s, our client has a long-standing commitment to providing expert animal care. The practice prides itself on its collaborative and supportive team culture. With 13 dedicated staff members, including veterinarians, nurses, support staff, and leadership, you will be part of a close-knit community that values open communication and mutual support. The practice has a varied surgical caseload, including dental extractions, amputations, and lumpectomies, and encourages a collaborative approach, with regular case discussions and skill-sharing sessions among colleagues. Team meetings and governance meetings are held regularly, where everyone is welcome to contribute ideas for improving the practice's operations.
The practice offers an extensive range of services, including Dentistry, Digital Radiography, Blood Pressure Monitoring, Laboratory services, Ultrasound scanning, and a fully equipped Operating theatre, among others.
In this role, you will be supported to grow and develop as a Veterinary Surgeon. The Rota:
• Full time role - Part time applications will also be considered
• 1:5 Saturday rota
• No OOH or on-call
• No Sundays or bank holidays
The Benefits:
