Position: Events Sales Manager
About the role:
A prestigious luxury boutique hotel and venue in Knightsbridge, renowned for its exceptional services and world-class event spaces, is seeking a Head of Sales and Events. This role involves leading sales efforts for the hotel's event spaces, cultivating new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and ensuring the seamless execution of events. The Head of Sales and Eventswill collaborate closely with the operations team to deliver outstanding service and create memorable experiences for clients. Wedding experience is necessary, as the facilities are ideal for hosting elegant and unforgettable wedding celebrations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement sales strategies to maximise revenue for the hotel's event spaces.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and industry events.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, event planners, and corporate partners.
* Conduct site visits and presentations to showcase our facilities to prospective clients.
* Prepare and negotiate contracts, ensuring all terms meet the clients needs and the hotel's standards.
* Collaborate with the operations team to ensure the successful execution of events, including canapé receptions for up to 200 guests and seated dinners for up to 100 guests.
* Stay updated on industry trends and competitors to identify new opportunities for growth.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in event sales, preferably within the luxury hotel or hospitality industry.
* Strong network of contacts within the events and corporate sectors.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
* Experience in managing wedding events is essential.
